I haven't updated my DA account in almost a year. That is just sad. I mean yes I'm a horrible procrastinator, but now I feel like a sham of an artist, especially since I lurk around this site almost everyday. My only defense comes in that 2007 kick my ass with one personal crisis after another. May the cosmos grant me a better year this time around or I fear the loss of my sanity.

Anyways, updates will no doubt continue to be few and far between, but I am working on some new stuff which is always a good sign. (It's so nice to have the creative juices flowing again after such a long flatline.) Cosplay is my main creative outlet at the moment as I am attempting to complete some rather ambitious costumes for my skill level in time for A-kon. (It doesn't matter that it's three months away, it doesn't make a world of difference if I don't actually get but in gear.) I'm hoping to do an extremely detailed Sakura-hime from Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicle, and well as an original Wa-loli outfit. God help me because I'll be winging it all the way. >_<

Other than that, I'm gonna try to do some photagraphy this weekend as well as work on some digital paintings and other works-in-progress. These may very well stay WIP for years considering that I have no tablet and coloring by mouse is a major pain in the ass, but they are coming along in their own slow but sure way.

I figured it was time for a quick update. Radomly, I decided I'd add some of my better photos from last year as well as scrap some stuff in my gallery that I could no longer stand to look at. I started a new original piece about two weeks ago, but school has side tracked that from being finished for now. Most likely the next couple of pieces will be cosplay related as I now have to start preparing for two of my summer cons. (Phoniex Rising in New Orleans and A-Kon in Dallas.)

In other news, I decided that I officially no longer like school as I will now be seriously overswamped for the rest of the semester. I've also accepted the fact that Deathly Hallows is coming out this summer and that it will only be 784 pages (*sniff*). Pirates: At World's End looks promising but I'm still mad at the Disney marketers for waiting so long to release the trailer. And lastly I've succumbed to the phenomenon that is Naruto and fallen madly in love with Gaara.

The release date for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out today, and a very unexpected reaction followed... Foolishly thinking that they wouldn't release a new movie and book in the same summer (let alone month), I was expecting a late '07 or summer of '08 release for the book (coz OotP is being released on 7/13/07.) And yet today Jo announced it to be on sale in a mere six months (7/21/07)!!!! I know I should be happy, but I'm still in shock and feel like I got the wind knocked out of me. I've been a loyal fan for four years now and I thought I'd be happy but now all I see is the end. (At least for the specualtive part of the fandom) *cry* I know there will still be the movies but it won't be the same. I don't want to lose my glorious fandom. PotterCast and MuggleCast are going to end, AND there will be no more books to wait for after this. Its going to be so final. *cry again* I just don't know what to do with myself. *Please* somebody go to Phoenix Rising with me....

P.S. In honor of this occasion (coz its still a memorable day), I'm going to post an unfinished sketch I did a while back. Maybe now I'll be a little more inspired to finish it...

Looky, looky I updated after two weeks! Whoo hoo! I'm on a roll. Let's just hope I don't jinx it! >_<

Well anyways this fine update is brought to you by finals! (Nothing like procrastinating your problems away, eh?) I basically put up the rest of the worthwhile photos I took in Europe this summer (and some not-so-worthwhile ones). As well as some old drawings and my first little bit of fanart. (Avatar: The Last Airbender rulz! Go watch it!)

It'll probably be a good while until my next update b/c after this I've got to go hit the books. >_< I've also got to go and learn how to use Photoshop more effieciently. (Know any good tutorials?) Well, until then enjoy! ^_~

K. So like I've been meaning to join Deviant for the past year, and well let's just say that when I say I'm a procrastinator....well I kinda REALLY mean it. In fact, the only reason I got around to doing this tonight is 'cause I'm procrastinating yet again instead of doing a paper for school. O.o I'm sooo bad....... Well anyway people have been telling me to join an I finally did. Most of the stuff I'll start off with will be Photos from my Visual Arts Major days and my trip to Europe from this summer. ^_^ Then it's on to old drawings, and maybe if you're really lucky and I get into the right mood I'll prettify some of my more recent work in photoshop and show the world that I actually can still draw.

Then again, it might take me months to actually upload anything else....

Oh well, let's just start out and try to think postive. ^_^ Who knows maybe I'll turn a new leaf.
